object in live video

Hi I want to put an object that was created in Maya into real time video. I know that most of you are going to say Maya live. Well I need away that is better then that. If any one has a way to do it please post, I know I am being picky but I don’t want any books to buy or DVD's. Thank you

ok first of all this is going to be way beyond what a newbie can expect to be able to do.

You are going to have to track the camera from the original footage and collect the tracking data Using a tracking app such as Boujou and use it to control the Maya software camera to match the real camera. you will also need to match the real camera film gate resolution , aperture , and shutter speed to achieve a believable match.
Once you have this set up you can then animate your maya model and render it .You should render in seperate layer passes so you can then composite the animation and shadows sperately using a compositng app such as shake , after effects or combustion.

If you get this far then you are really no noob...

ok, the thing is if u wanna cg compost to live footage which u shot with DV or whatever. first of all, using Boujou to track ur footage get the camera data info , and then export this camera data into maya, then match with ur cg objects...

then...u know, after perfect mathching , mapping ,batch render...
then compost cg and dv footages in shake ...

that's it...
