Paint FX and Text

Hey guys and gals! :)

Quick question: How do I use Paint FX with text? I'm trying to work on a small project for my wife on her website and I need to have flowers growing on the words in the text. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D

Hi!

You have to select NURBS at output geometry when you create the text, as you can only use 3d-paint-effects on nurbs-geometry.

Then select the surfaces and choose in the Render Menu-Set Paint Effects -> Make paintable or something like this. Now, with the object still selected you can paint on it.

Best Regards

Thanks! :) I tried a little something different as I created the text as a Trim instead of Polys or Curves. It worked like a dream, although the flowers came out of the front and drooped over - that was what I wanted but wasn't expecting. :)

I love it when a plan comes together. :)
