how to split combined things?

I just started to model a AK 47.
I am a n00b so I have some problems. Here the link to for some pics: AK 47

I combined everything on the shape and now I don´t know how to split it all again.
Please help me.

combine:
polygons>combine

seperate:
edit polygons>seperate

:) weird how theyre not under the same menu
