Looks like a manikin you would expect to see in the window of some form of GI/Spy/Military/sporting goods, and apparel store.....
|
I just made something for fun. But the point is to make him look like a soldier/spy.
|
reminds me of my first "head" model. anything you cant model well you cover up.... Eyes, Mouth, Ears....
Can we see the head without gear? Maybe a wire? |
Thats not why i cover the ears and eyes up. He got eyes but you cant see them. This is the 2nd head i ever made, thats why i cant do realistic ears yet. And i didnt cover the ears up because i cant make any good looking ears.
|
And instead of complaning, link some good tutorials so i can learn how to make those things.

I agree with you. Some people here can be a bit Condescending. They forget that this is a learning site and that we are all learn from each other.
Anyways... You should definitely add some textures to the face and gear that way it doesn't come out plastic looking. Bump up the resolution and filter size in you shadows so you don't get those jagged edges. Try posting up your wire frame so we can get a better look at your topology and give you a few of pointers on the modeling. Keep it up man. I included a few pics. regarding face modeling so that you can get a better idea. You got the foundation. Now all you got to refine is your anatomical proportions, like the mouth, nose and ears. Try to get the build the whole body in there. |

This is an old post I made a few weeks back for someone else trying to get their proportions right.

Reading back i can see how my comment could easily be interpreted as insulting, it wasnt meant to be and im sorry.
And the gear looks alright but its hard to tell how the overall model looks if you dont supply a render of the head without the gear. I cant do organic models well so what i meant is "I" usually cover those areas with items and equipment to keep from having to model them. |
