Cat Fur without MAYA fur
 

Hello, all. I have this personal project involving a cat, and while I'm almost done modelling and I don't see many problems with rigging, I do think I'll need help wit the fur.

My machine doesn't have fur, and even if it did, it renders too slowly for my taste. I'm planning on using Paint FX for the fur. Can anyone point me to a tutorial or get me started with some steps on how to do this? There aren't any cat-fur presets in PaintFX :D
