i have 2 problems... i am on http://www.mtmckinley.net./tut11.html step 17... i tried to extrude the sureface... but it keeps giving me wierd stuff... what do i do?
oh and how do i take pics of my maya screen... so i can show you whats up?

about your new problem... um... you didnt tell us if that's Poly's/Nurbs/Subs...

if it's Polys, there are a few ways... you can select the outer edges that you want to connect and go to Edit Polys, and "Merge Edges"... then you can combine the 2..(not sure if you have to)

then the second way is to use the Split Poly Tool and cut along the corners a line of th bottom peice and then merge their Vertecies....

right click each part and first combine the parts...

then select the vertices and merge or the edges and merge...

:beer: yeah thanks to everyone i have something that resembles half of a car... i had a lil trouble merging the edges together... i had to tweak it a bit after that... but i think it turned out ok... im not even close to done yet... but i think i should be done by thursday~ish... :D :p :beer: *celebrates*
