I have already built this car in Swift 3D 3 years ago.
But as Maya has a much more powerful tool i am rebuilding it. Comments are welcome http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/7...astbackle2.jpg Next image is the 2005 version built in Swift 3D. |
Looking pretty good so far!
There seems to be a few Dings, and bumps here and there, that you might want to even out. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out! Are you going to be separating the panels up?... Or, are you just going to leave that to the textures? Have fun  |

Indeed there is still allot of work. :)
I`m making all the edges in modelling, i don`t like to do that in textures for cars. Btw less texture problems :) Today`s update. |
Looking pretty good!
Theres some areas that seems kinda weird! And the whole car just kinda gives off a Cartoony feel.... if you follow! Which year is this Mustang that your modeling? It doesn't seem to match any of the Images i pulled up on Google. Pretty nice work though! |

thx learar i will try to get an old styled painting. Only i`m figuring out if they used metallic collors back then.
Anyone know? Still to do Editing the sides of the car around the front wheel. side mirrors, door handels, exhaust pipe, wipers, grid near wipers, remodel fantasy next to side window. And i might update the Mustang Fastback 1968 to a Mustang Fastback 1968 GT Don`t know yet anyways here is the first colloring test. |
its looking much better now;)

This is really coming together nicely!
I like the render test, the paint shader could use some work! As for what type of paint they used back then. I can imagen it was a more solid, acrylic, style paint, as opposed to a more modern metallic paint! BUT I'm not sure. Anyway, Nice work! Looking forward to updates! |
agreed! Excellent work. If I may ask though, where do you guys get these references? I've seen a lot of people making cars on this forum and they always have really good references.
