Hello, I have to do an Animation for an dentist and I have to build a 3 dimensional Mesh for that!Just like the the attached image.
I googled it and found a shader which do that job. But it must have a more cellular structure then the blobby holes in the image. But the nice thing is that in that image you can easyly see what I´m looking for. Is there a shader inside Maya or something like that??? Or an easy way to model it? Probably with easy scripts?? I found a plug in at high end, METABALLS and thought that I probably model it! But the plug in is for Maya 8.5 and is not compatible with 2009! :( Please give me any advice its really important for me to do the job as good as I can and because of that I don´t want to texture a flat image of holes! It looks terrible if there is no deph... Thanks and have a good time... :) |
I think I remember reading your post about some kind of sponge material, apparently you still have the problem so I'm replying in this thread. Have you tried a displacement map? You can assemble on in Photoshop or if you have Zbrush you can sculpt it there.
