Hi all Maya Users. I'm new around here just started using Maya like 1 month ago and I've been mostly learning everything from tuts over the net. so what i learned so far was this simply character design.

I just had 2 make Patrick star, as u all know he's from sponge bob square pants animation cartoon.

Hope u guyz like it and please dont hate me so much if i didnt do it so well, as u can see this is my first post if im not mistaken. So Enjoy!

P.s. Plz criticizes it, i wanna know more, really wanna learn!

good job! nice overall, but i dont think patrick is That fat. Unless he scarfed down some SeaTwinkies before he surfaced. His tongue makes him look like hes gagging a bit also.

thanks man, yeah i know the tongue part was driving me crazy, sometimes i put the lip 2 low then the tongue wont be shown or i push the tongue back it starts 2 look weird so i pretty much gave up on it :headbang: ... lol

what do u think i should do it make it look good?

id say stretch him out a bit, make him taller. Give him a nice cartoony tongue and tighten his shorts!

Haha lol looks good. I think that you should raise his head a bit though. It looks a little too close to his neck.

Ok, i'm done lol, i just had 2 work on it, i did on what u said (kinddoggofwar), i made him taller and fixed his tongue so wat do u think of it now?

and yeah AnthonyCg, hmm yeah but Patrick doesnt have a neck doesn't he or does he? im not so sure

well anyways check out the new images maybe be i'd look way better.

I guess Patrick doesn't really have a neck, but I think you got the picture. Looks better. Perhaps you could throw his rock in there?
