this is my second work in maya
(the first was the mousetrap) i had an image of this bee with me. got it from the net.i liked it a lot. so thoght of making it in maya. |

not yet, i'm trying to figure out the perfect lighting to make for a scene. That's why i love yours; how did you light the scene?

motivation
I'm actually just watching all of the modeling techniqes from people like bryan, and guys like yourself, and trying to pic up pointers. Whenever i model something, it looks 1d because my lighting skills r a little weak.

lighting is very simple. had one point light to illuminate the whole bee and another to give highlights. the difference is coming due to the shaders i have applied to the different bodyparts of the bee. some parts have reflections and some dont :) |
