Importing 3D Max File

Hey Everyone,

Maybe what I am asking for is impossible, but how can I import a 3D Max model into Maya? There are some great models that I would like to look at on several websites but they were made in 3D Max. How can I open them in Maya???

Chris, Baltimore.

If your using maya 5.0, you can download the bonus tools from the Maya website... It has a 3ds import plug-in. That should do the trick.

I downloaded this, but I cannot activate the plug-in. I only downloaded the demo. What's the deal?
