maya cgfx - where to find shaders?

Where do I find shaders for cgfx. It is supposed to work with .fx files, but info/settings don't seem to show up for them, or they don't seem to load.

Maybe I'm missing something

I'm most interested in getting parallex mapping working in the maya viewport.

TY.

You need to enable the cgfx plugin in the Plugin Manager.

A few more things:

After enableing the CGFX plugin you will need to
1) Enable Smooth Shading and Hardware texturing

2) some example shaders are in the folder(it may be different on mac or other maya versions):

C:\Program Files\Alias\Maya8.0\presets\CgFX\examples

3) When you get this working, check out this post. I am having a problem with CGFX that i would be nice to hear if you have this problem too:

4) Reply again in more detail of you need better instructions.
