simple capital "C"
 

i currently got a job where i need to make a simple capital letter "C"
i have tryed extrudeing a square out of a curve, and tryed just modeling the letter out of polygons but it ids begining to be a pain in my a**
dose anyone know a nice easy way to go about doing this?
any help is greatly appreciated

oh lol. well u can use the create polygon tool. or u could ust simply use the text tool.

err where are those tools lokated???

ok. under the modeling menu set. and go to Polygons-Create Polygon Tool. or u can go to Create-Text- option box. change the text to "C" then hit create.

or if you want to do it in some fancy text that you don't have a font of, a thing I have tried and tested is getting a polygon plane, making it a quad, then extruding edges and pulling verts around etc and shaping the C how you want it to be, selecting all the faces then extruding faces and dragging out... although i'm sure you'll have the font so just urr... use the text tool ;)

Im sure there is a text festure in maya. Maybe that would be easier.

If your going to make it, id use curves then use the loft tool. It maybe easier to get an image of the letter 'C' to use as referance.
