pros and cons
 

Hi All, im brand new to maya so please be gentle. I have a few questions, if i can pick someones brains for a while. What are the pros and cons of having separate body shapes or 1 body shape?

for me its more detail.when you can model an arm from a nurbs cylinder you dont have to worry about the hand or body.you can consintrate on just on part at a time.plus its easyier sometimes with the position your not extruding arms and legs and fingers.that gets messy sometimes.hope that helps.
