New Tutorial - Poly Plane Modeling
 

We just released a new tutorial; "Modeling Workflow - Poly Plane Techniques" in which Rick shows you how to create a very accurate model of a WWII jerry can with a fully functional cap assembly. It's a great hard surface modeling tutorial and goes over how to create geometry based on poly plane extrusions and get realistic edge bevels in CG amongst many other things.

oh cool, but is this the same model as the one for the texturing challenge?

It is, I finally nagged enough to get him to come and work with us at SimplyMaya :) Watching Rick model to me is a piece of art not as a site admin but as a Maya user, I find it fascinating.
