PC freezes when using maya fluids
 

my pc specs

cpu - amd fx 8150 8 core processor, 3.6ghz
ram - 8gb
graphics card - nvidia geforce 560

Pc and maya works fine but whenever i try and simulate fluids pc just freezes, can you please help me with this, thanks

Have you set the resolution on the fluid container to high did maya give you a warning that it might be to high.....................dave

no res is not high, ive used maya fluids before on my other pc which is less powerful and works fine

What version of maya are you using and have you checked out autodesk for known bugs...........dave

ive tried versions 2012 and 2013 of maya, both have same problem, they worked fine on my older pc, i thought it was maybe my graphics card so bought a new one but still having same problem
