How do I start doing a ocean smashing thru a building?
 

Hey guys!

I just saw a clip from the movie "the day after tomorrow" where the ocean smash into New York.

I wanna create a similar thing but just scale it down to an ocean smashing to a building...

I have Maya unlimited and aI started to play with the 3d container and the preset ocean fluid...the wave heigh and foam, but i cant create the big wave going thru the building and the big splash

Any pointers or good tutorials about it, I dont know mel so im kinda lost doing it with it

Any help will be appreciated!!!!

haven´t got the time to write down my ideas in detail, but i would rather use particles ...

Particles to create the splash? i was playing with combinations of ocen fluid particles for splash and another fluid inside the ocean container to create the white mist but i got kinda lost mixing it...
