Inserting image planes
When I insert 2 image/reference planes into Maya ( Front view and side for example) they overlap at the origin (form a cross from a top view) should I begin to model from this instance or should I move the position of the image plane?
Looking at my PLE books, the planes do not overlap like my current circumstances but I cannot see how to move them in such a way that I can model over them and keep them in-line. Or am I completely off track. Please let me know where I am going wrong. As when I model now occasionally I accidently select the image plane and edit that without realising until later on. Apologies for the long post Mike |
Move them away from the camera in any view EXCEPT the perspective view.

Cheers, so move them both uniformly in the x and z axis?
