Cant Open Maya!! >.<

Hi all! I am using Window XP, CPU is 3.2 GHz, harddisk is 120Mbs

However after I opened a 3D file (my own architecture design), the computer is stuck in the opening screen..and I have to restart my computer

could anyone telling me why is that?
