export to 3ds

great website, and great tuts
i wanted to know if there is a way to export maya files to a .3ds file so i can import them into 3d Studio Max 8 so i can render the pictures with vray or brasil... i used to export to .obj but then then when i import it into 3d max i don't get the smooths

You have to download the Bonus tools from the alias home site and instal em..

i will try and post it here if it succeeds

it doesn't work i can only import 3ds files and i need to export to 3ds files or i'm missing a plugin that has it
