rigging

Hi i am trying to rig a very simple bird's wing, can anyone tell me the 'how to' of setting up the joints in the wing - so that the wing can fold against the body?

i have tried to modify the rig for a biped arm with the fingers going into the five end feathers, but dont know how to connect the other feathers. i have only 11 feathers to each wing.

It depends on how detailed you want it.

When rigging, you want to place bones where there actually are bones in real life. For example: http://hippie.nu/~unicorn/tut/img/ba...ing-bones.jpeg

If you wanted control over the feathers, you would need to put extra bones in them. Or if you really wanted to go crazy, use nCloth or some other dynamics system :)
