hello everyone!
while waiting for a response to my other WIP thread (and while i take a break from experimenting with that) here's something i'm doing on the side to keep my poly modeling in check. trust me, i have greater respect now, more than ever, for poly modelers. ain't as easy as NURBS hull & CV modelling huh? :D anyway.. enjoy my mech WIP! c+c please. and for those who might want to take a stab at helping me on my other WIP, please do right here: first NURBS human model and here's one of the first 3 shots: |

maybe some more detail but still nice start! :D |
Nice start there, cant wait to see some more updates
|
not bad but i cant really see much now to have to continue to get a appropriate critique....but can u tell me how u did the render which lights which materails attached etc.??
|
oh for this one i used the default software renderer, with two directional lights.
i used the default lambert shader but upped the ambient quality of it just a little bit. |

one more...

Those arms are very chunky, but I like it :)
|
yup i exaggerated the arms quite a bit. i had initially tried to make them proportional to the rest of the body, but felt that it lacked the sense of "power" as brought by the over-emphasized arm structure. :)
|
hmm... still...they don't look nice on the rest...try maybe smoothing some parts than....
|
do u plan to texture and animate it?
