So, I got this far, need to ad more detail (neck is to square, more muscle detail, etc). Now working on the wings.

very nice... looks kind of cute at the moment... what's the scale compared to a person? will there be anything for scale in the scene or are you just focussing on the model? looking forward to the development. :)

Added wings, and some more muscle detail. I think he's almost ready for joining and texturing.

Hi, it's a good work, I like the ideea :)

It's made by polis?

Aphex 20-01-2003 08:14 PM

wow thats pretty amazing!

How are you modelling it though(excuse me i'm a beginner  ) i can see all the lines and curves, is that nurbs? if so is it lofting or birails??

I'd like to have a go at something as ambitious as that but i'm not sure how to tackle it nurbs or polys or what not?

Aphex:
I guess it is modeled with "subdivisions". I have always been intimidated by this method, but seeing this project makes me feel a bit better:)

Edit:
Am I wrong? This is sub-d isn't it?

NoTalent 20-01-2003 11:36 PM

Yep, made with poly's. I follow the method that is used in de 'Maya Fundamentals' book. You only have to model one half, and can add asymetri in a later stage. I find it a nice way of working.

Chris.

it did look a little like a sub-d matrix, i'm amazed that its a poly
