Ya, its great. I didn't even have to do much to destroy it, rendering seems to have a lot of fun with me. Check this out.
I have a great PSD texture , and it looks fine on the chair, but the moment I render it it goes bonkers. What did I do wrong? and how do I fix it? |
hmmm - maybe you can't render it using maya software? just a guess though.
|
If it was a maya rendering problem, the seat and back would we messed up too.
|
not necessarily - it might be problem with the texture or maybe the geometry. what happens with you render with mental ray?
|
I'll give it a go tomorrow. More likely than not it's the texture/mapping that's screwy. I've never had issues with the rendering, so I don't think anything should have changed there.
I did have 3 fatal errors while I mapped that part. So maybe I should just redo it. |
I figured it out. It was a texture problem. Created a new PSD file and dragged my existing file over to it. Works fine now.
I'll probly put up an update sometime soon. Thinking I need to attack it with a sledgehammer. It's still way too neat. Bend it up good. As if it fell off the back of a truck... all ripped and scuffed.. more stuffing showing.. fabric hanging off.. Ill see Working on a horse right now as well, and since there's no deadline, there's no hurry to get the chair done. Toodles. |
