Problem with UV
 

Im try to do the interior scene from the SM Interior Scene, but in the part with the begining of UV I have a problem... on one wall the autor selecet faces and make a uv map only for thises faces and at last he complete the wall, but when I try to texture only the selected faces I get UV for the whole wall and cant continue the tutorial :( Im using Maya 7.0.1 Can some help me...
