May/June - Norm - Varley
Im in... not sure what Ill come up with yet:confused:
|
Im gonna do a death sequence... I have a couple of premade low poly models already... just might change the head or something.
Its gonna be kind of the character (kung-fu master/samurai) finishes off the big boss (snaps his kneck and dices him)...something like that |
Finally ready to start animating

I modelled a character real quickly. I usually setup my own custom rig, but I wanted to try the new maya 7 full body IK tool... and I have to say... its really cool! ...if you've ever used motionbuilder, you'll love it.

i dont think SSS is allowed for games.
but cool model |
Im pretty sure they dont use it either, was just a test
|
I havent made any game models before so sorry for the dumb question ....is cloth ever used?
|
nope. or not cloth simulations, its all blendshapes and stuff. really quite complicated too!
Cmon, do your animation, I want to see it :p |
thanks Matt. Im gonna get around to doing the animation soon... thats what counts right. I was just going to use blendshapes for the head only.

Nice model, it should look good animated |
i made a search in google and yes there is cloth dynamics and simulation in videogames ...
|
hey, thank for the responses. Im pretty sure a cloth sim has been used in certain games before, you can still set the poly cont of the cloth pretty low and get some decent effects. Anyways, I just modified the model a bit to make it look like it has clothing...save on rendering time :)
|
really! I didn't know there was coth in video games.
huh... |
im pretty sure they use subsurface scattering in next gen game like brother in arm:hell's highway(next gen of course)
