I'm busy teaching myself at the moment and going through
the Dragon Project tutorial on Simply Maya.

Please tell me what you think so far...
Keep in mind that I am a total beginner but be honest.

Still tons of work to do. :)
Thanks

Doesn't work...

Toxic Bunny 08-08-2005 11:51 PM

I will be posting my latest wip no. 5 tomorrow...

I have a question, anyone answer please...
is it better to start with really low poly then add
when you need? what is the advantage?
does it help to keep your geometry neater and easier
to manage?

Any tips and critisism welcome.

Thanks Bro, I'm trying... :) there are still tons of things to
learn and figure out but I'm getting there...

After I can do a little modeling then I will try to texture / render
and maybe later try setting up a rig and animation...

Thanks for the compliment

Looks really good. I like it a lot. Like Kurt said, some of the folds in the ears seam a bit hard looking though.

Toxic Bunny 17-08-2005 10:30 PM

Thanks, I have now smoothed the ears a little...
working on the body now... had to sketch the body... not too good at art...
Wish I took lessons though

I know the proportions are not that great but I can fix it up in maya...
The poor dude is thin and starved... LOL :D

[update] Deleted this picture and posted it on first post.

What do you mean? That drawing is really good, and I like the bold outlines. That could come in handy with X-ray view. (In Maya of course :D)

Toxic Bunny 17-08-2005 11:37 PM

Thanks bro, I appreciate the compliment :)

I had to figure out how my own arm looked to make the front legs... lol
That is particularly where training would help... and with proportions...
I had to do the dark outlines, when I scanned my picture it came out too light
for some reason...

You busy with anything new lately?
