anyone have an idea when the shark tutorial part 4 (updated) is coming?

and in the mech tutorial: how many spans are used for the nurbs cylinder from upper leg?

Edit: here are several views of the upperleg part. I hope someone can see from this how much there are.

If I may I'd like to post a .mb file with only the exported leg part so you can all see for yourself.
But first I must have clearance from Kevin.

I do the vids whenever I'm able. My job is a big time-consumer, and although I try, 1 a week is even difficult to attain sometimes. I'll have it this weekend.

here's the file with the upperleg part. plz take a look at it and see if you can tell me how many spans I'd have to use on the nurbs cylinder.

I can't look at the file right now, but one thing you shoud know is that the # of spans isn't that big a deal, just so long as you are aware of how many you have if you are stitching or something.

there's no stitching in that model. but I'd like to know how many to insert in the beginning, so I don't add to many or too few and have to start all over again.

but there's no rush really, now I'm still modeling some junk for that guy with golem in his avatar. experimenting a bit with the extrude option.

can one of the mods plz move this topic to the VIP modeling section? maybe I'll get some answers there.

I think you misunderstand me... it is not imperative to get the exact number of spans. If he did 8 and you do 12, it really doesn't impact the outcome at all.

The only time spans are important is when attaching and/or stitching surfaces.

I'm not even positive who made that video. I think it might have been Roman, but I haven't seen him around in quite a while.

oh ic, well nvm then. I'll try to figure it out later.

the guy who made that movie is Dan. would that be dannygan by any chance?

no
