the colors from 3d paint and the materials disapear in the scene
 

hello all
I have made a human character and I used the 3d paint option in maya to paint it...
couple of problems:
1- the colors look like blinn material in the scene but when I render they are as I want (what's wrong with it?

2- I try to paint for example the feet all of a sudden I realized that it is painting the shoulders too. like a mirror

that would be great if anyone could help me in the case of these 2 issues
