maintaing curvature on an object when cutting hole
Hi,
modeling a snes controller. All is well apart from one problem. I'm trying to make the holes to house the shoulder buttons, but when I do so, the curvature of the shoulder is dented (as shown in the image). how can I but in and sill maintain that curvature? cheers gubar |

what are you useing? Nurbs, polys??

Polys only.

Extride inwards and add an extra loop to sharpen the edge.
Looks like your using the smooth poly preview. |

yeah that's what I've done (extruded and added a loop) and this is the result. Also, I am using the preview but the result is the same if I apply a smooth. cheers gubar |
