Hey guys,
Here's what I'm currently working on. It's an assignment I have due on Aug. 13th. So I'm hoping to be done modeling by then. Please let me know what you think.
lol. I don't know what I was thinking, but I'm pretty sure I did the front bumper wrong. (where the license plate goes.)

haha, but really, I like it. Very clean modeling, by the looks of it:beer:

Nice work so far, very clean! I've seen the license plate area modeled several ways based on whether the car is tuned, spec, or just creative license. If you are putting a plate there, I don't think it matters.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking of modeling the tire treads instead of using bump/displacement. I've never done tire treads before. Any ideas guys?
I've started working more on the side and back of the car. Here's a couple updates.

Hey, This is looking really nice. I love how smooth it's looking!

I'm not sure, but some of the edges on the rear, and I guess the front, seem too sharp. Not sure. I'll have to look at some refs.

anyway, nice work!

Oh, as for the tire. There are several way that you can do it. I use a Disp maps on my Camaro, but that was a while ago, and now I would probably actually model them.

younglion 02-08-2008 10:53 AM

for the tire treads just grab any pic of the ones you wanna model, select a section of the tread and model it duplicate it x number of times anduse the bend tool tobend it into a circle. heres a tut in max but you can apply the same techniques http://www.danielbuck.net/index.php?...tut_2/tiretut2

oh hey do you mind posting some wires?
