Possible Idea for CgTalk Challenge Kurt
 

Well from what I see in the mechanical-flesh challenge so far is everyone for the most part is doing a cyborg type character. So im playing around with a idea of using a small animal as a spy tool. First animal I've been playing around with is a tree frog.

I know he's not quite right as far as looks it was off the top of my head with out looking at reference to get the idea on paper. Will do one with ref maybe tomorrow.

Let me know what you all think.

Kurt that's a kick ass drawing! I really really like it! Much better than a chick in a metal bikini with a gun and cyborg parts! I can imagine this guy photoreal and sitting a nice leaf or something. It could be really cool.

Awsome sketch and beginning of the model. ;) I can't wait to see the finished product!

Starting get him looking like my reference played with the eyes a lot more and started to pull out details.

Frog part is pretty much done just have to start making teh mech parts now.....

looking awesome kurt! the only thing i noticed between the concept sketch and the model is the snout/nose/whatever. On the actual model it seems more narrow and pointed, much like a lizards rather than the snubby one of a frog. Looks great both ways, just thought I'd point it out!

ya its bit more realistic in the model the drawing was from my head the model im using pictures as reference.

The legs are looking cool Kurt, but I prefered the chunkier looking ones in the original concept drawing. Mind you if it's going for stealth then maybe smaller legs are better... :)

Thanks guys.... Pure im making him so that once i finish him i can change him a lot... I can make him either more cartoony or stay with the realism depending how I feel for the final.

Almost have the back legs done.. just some cleaning up to do.

adding more detail to the back plates.. having funny cutting holes all over...=)

Looking good Kurt, all I would crit is the knee joint needs more detail. There's no connection between the top of the leg and the bottom of it. Add some wires or something.
