Thanks guys. I'm gonna be pretty busy finishing this one off. Still got lots to model (main rotor, interior of the cockpit, chain gun plus some small bits here and there...). After that it's time for some serious UV pulling ;)

If i were to wait for ALL the parts of the tutorial to be released, how much would i be looking at for it to be added to custom CD.

All 25 odd parts should go up at the same time. We're playing with the idea of a discount system if you take them all.

Basically your looking at 13 hours start to finish hard surface modeling tutorial for around £55 pounds, not sure how much we will knock of for the discount. I must be mental for even considering the discount lol I'm paying considerably more then £55 quid for it and i don't even use Maya :D

Stay tuned.

David :)

Zyk0tiK 14-04-2004 01:48 PM

Well, with my 80-odd points i now have a reason to use them :D

doodle 14-04-2004 10:54 PM

Thanks for the info. :) Is the modelling part 25 in parts, or is 25 include anim/txt/comp etc

Kevin 15-04-2004 07:27 AM

The apache modeling is now complete, here is the specs:

33 parts at 17HR 51 MINS.

The 33 parts just cover modeling

Zyk0tiK 15-04-2004 11:58 AM

good lord :| are they 2-point parts or 3-point parts? cos if they're 3-point i cant afford it :'(

Kevin 15-04-2004 12:16 PM

a bit of both "z" but we are offering a special deal on the whole package!

Zyk0tiK 15-04-2004 12:24 PM

if it costs more than 84 points i'm gonna be pissed :P

I spent less on the DVD and i got a DVD AND a sexy case

ransick 15-04-2004 04:42 PM

let's hear the special offer first.... ;)

Kevin 15-04-2004 10:53 PM

Right heres the deal

Its 17:43:28 in length

The whole lot works out at 72 points, this is with the parts 35 mins and over being 3 points, below that being 2 points.

But we will do a special on the whole lot for 55 points!

This is only of course if you commit to the whole tutorial and not have 3 or 4 bits then say "I want it all now for the offer"

There will be a "special offer" button that will add every section to your account and take the 55 points :)

so hows that? thats about £3 an Hour! cant say fairer then that.

doodle 15-04-2004 11:29 PM

:D.....and can you remind us the cost of custom CD's/delivery etc. Thanks

Kevin 16-04-2004 11:35 AM

guys the apache tutorial is being encoded, its over 17 hrs so with 4 passes on each section its taking some time. Will be up asap

Many thanks

kevin

MayaStudent 22-04-2004 05:06 PM
