haha not like a had a chance anyways.

BY THE WAY: rubberkidney, that was a complement, if the body looks as good as the head you'll win.

Rubberkidney 09-06-2004 05:23 AM

thanks guvna! im glad you like it...here is a curves based muscle template...i use it to help keep my proportions on, and also give me an idea for muscle modeling : )

Rubberkidney 16-06-2004 06:45 PM

its been a while i know : ( but i had to make a website for my friends band...but now im back on track, heres the progress i made this morning, its not much but what can i say..i love to post : )

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/ogre1.jpg

c&c welcome as always : )

RubberChicken 16-06-2004 07:03 PM

thats very amazingly cool!!! But whats that thing around his neck?

Rubberkidney 16-06-2004 07:07 PM

well, the way im seeing it he just escaped from something, so the thing around his neck is some kind of shackle. he will have them on his wrists and probably ankles too..and there will def be some chains hanging : )

mtmckinley 16-06-2004 07:39 PM

very nice :)

RubberChicken 16-06-2004 07:43 PM

hehe cool little story line :D
Much clearer now thanks.

Rubberkidney 17-06-2004 06:08 AM

heres a shot of the arm..its almost done i think...a few problem areas...need to work on the shoulder and bicep/tricep a bit..im fairly happy with the forearm..but well see...tell me what you guys think... : )

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/arm.jpg

Rubberkidney 17-06-2004 06:14 PM

here is the arm done, and the start of the chest...

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/arm2.jpg

mtmckinley 17-06-2004 07:06 PM

Looking good. I think the transition from chest to bicep might need to be a little smoother unless you plan to cover it with something.

Keep it up!

Rubberkidney 17-06-2004 07:12 PM

yea i had modeled the chest as a seperate peice..then just attached it, so it looks like that still..im going to fill that out nicely and attach it to the shoulder muscle the way it should be : ) thanks for the feedback though..any other suggestions welcome

Rubberkidney 17-06-2004 11:57 PM

yet more progress on the chest modeling..its still in the early stages, so hopefully it will be a lot better when its done : )

cb8rwh 18-06-2004 12:21 AM

looking sweet matey, to me anyway :)

owmyi 18-06-2004 05:27 AM

I really like all the detail and especially the muscle definition. Great job.

RubberChicken 18-06-2004 07:54 AM

Nice, very organicy. :)

Rubberkidney 18-06-2004 07:50 PM

organicy, great word : )

Rubberkidney 19-06-2004 05:39 AM

ok, i think the chest/arm is done...maybe some minor tweaks in its future, but for now its finished : ) ive started on the abs and rib cage, very early, any comments on how i could improve it would be great, im here to learn, this is the first organic body ive ever modeled so point me in the right direction : ) here ya go

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/arm4.jpg

RubberChicken 19-06-2004 09:07 AM

Very nice, but the arms seem a little short.

Rubberkidney 19-06-2004 06:06 PM

the arm is indeed a little on the short side: )...when im done with the torso im going to reshape it a bit with a lattice though, so hopefully that wont be a problem, thanks for the suggestion though! keep em comin

Rubberkidney 21-06-2004 06:18 AM

alright...a little more progress, finished the basic shape for the torso, and started defining the abs...lots to do, and so little time to do it : ) man i hope i can finish it in time..i gotta kick it into
overdrive...

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/torso.jpg

Fallenswordsman 21-06-2004 06:55 AM

Just having a peek in from the SimplyLightwave camp - see how everyone else is doing! Not looking too bad at the moment. I think the competition this month is quite tough! Just a quick crit - don't forget the armpit!

Rubberkidney 22-06-2004 05:19 AM

another update, defined the abs and built the base for the back...the torso is almost done..i cant believe it! : ) i just need to quit my job so i can finish this up : )

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/torso2.jpg

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/torso3.jpg

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/torso4.jpg

still need to do the armpit : )

cb8rwh 22-06-2004 06:14 AM

looking really nice matey, I think someone mentioned but there isn't really an armpit, maybe just create a little indentation - I know when there is lots of muscle involved the armpit does look reduced.

Rubberkidney 22-06-2004 06:18 AM

thanks for the comments : ) the arm pit is def coming

RubberChicken 22-06-2004 10:53 AM

SWEEEETTT!!!! Thats so amazingly c()()L! But hurry ur running out of time! EEKKK!

Rubberkidney 23-06-2004 05:58 AM

ok...well im done with the torso...there are still a few problems that i can see...but in the interest of time i need to move on...heres what i have..when im done with the rest of it i might come back over and fix it up a little more..maybe add some of the rib cage muscles...anyway, here are some actual renders : )

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/backrender.jpg

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/backrender2.jpg

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/backrender3.jpg

Rubberkidney 23-06-2004 05:59 AM

oh..and the torso is still not connected yet...so that should help : )

mtmckinley 23-06-2004 06:19 AM

coming along. :) The torso seems a bit caved in in the middle and the body seems very squarish.

Gold_Phoenix 23-06-2004 04:31 PM

yeah. u probably need to fix the abs

Rubberkidney 23-06-2004 05:38 PM

i agree...they will be fixed, right now i just duplicated and scaled the original. thats why it looks so indented, rest assured that when the model is done, that will be fixed : )

Rubberkidney 24-06-2004 01:22 AM

the leg has begun.........also taking suggestions for what sort waist garmet he should be wearing : )

http://www.unspokenvibe.com/matt/ogre/leg.jpg

Rubberkidney 24-06-2004 06:27 AM

just a tad more leg progress, got the basic shape down, still a bit to far out...but ill fix that : )
