Yes, it does need some more detail. But if I were him, I would use bump maps or something to give it the detail. Actually though, dont know if he is texturing this one, actually I dont even know if he is going to finish it. Oh well, but the reason for the maps was to help keep the poly count lower. But ultimately its up to him.

Yes bump map or displacement maps are good to add detail, but I would just use this in low poly or to fake smaller details.

Hey. I just took a break from Maya for a bit. Started working some more on it.

You might want to think about adding a hinge to the robots ‘ankle’ so the foot can pivot.

Keep up the good work.

Well there is a ball inside the box/ankle area for 360 degrees rotation. But if you could draw where you are talking about maybe I can add it.

I certainly hope this model hasn't died. I would like to see how it turns out. :)

Lol, I'm very sorry there hasn't been any updates. For starters I've been having company for a little over a week now so I haven't been able to do any Maya for a while. And I have been doing a couple of things for the competition as well. My next update will have a shader on it. Just to see how sleek it looks without being cluttered with a bunch of stuff attached to it.

Sweet :) I'll have my eye on this thread then
