It would be intresting to know if you are using any photon shaders or light shaders on any of your geometry, and if you are using Final Gather at all?

vim 05-12-2005 04:52 PM

render with photon would be cool but in the real pinball machine the plastique shader don't create a photon effect... also i'm using the final gather in the render but the environment color is to dark.. i wiil change it in my next render.;)

magicsy 05-12-2005 05:04 PM

what i wanna know is when do we get to see the full render of the pinball machine?

Have you ever considered using Dielectric_material for your glass?

vim 05-12-2005 05:11 PM

yes I will do it but the render time without dielectric material is long 2 hours. I will use only the dielectric material when all my texture are will be finish lol.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your render global settings? At 2 hours for a GI and FG render, you must have some expensive settings.

vim 05-12-2005 09:57 PM

beacause i have a lot of texture in high resolution and im using a high quality render with GI some test with hdr and and final gather and lanczoc multipixel filtering and

varley 07-12-2005 05:47 AM

very nice work! The lighting on the top panel is very realistic, not too bright, just perfect.

THX1138 07-12-2005 07:25 AM

Have you had any irradiance problems with your GI?
