Update of my old pinball machine

jramauri 05-11-2005 12:44 AM

Looking really nice! I thought in modelling a pinball machine too, but I gave up when I realized that was a very complex task, mainly the elements of table. Good luck!

Really neat, Vim!

THX1138 05-11-2005 04:13 PM

The spring on the handle, I seem to remember it beeing fixed to the machine and not hanging loose on the handle rod, but I also seem to remember there being two of them aswell. Sorry , it's been a while since I played one. I cant remember exactly.

utpal 05-11-2005 04:17 PM

nicely done, vim.
you're gonna be able to finish this in no time..

mtmckinley 06-11-2005 04:58 AM

It'd be cool, once it's all done, if you can figure out the dynamics to make it actually function with physics. :)

vim 06-11-2005 05:39 AM

Yes this was cool idea when its will be finished;)

model of another part of my pinball machine

jsprogg 06-11-2005 07:55 PM

This coming along great ..looking forward to seeing it textured.

vim 06-11-2005 08:25 PM

thx jsprogg;)

mtmckinley 06-11-2005 08:41 PM

I definitely like the run-down nature of your pinball machine and it'd be really cool if you can mimic that in your model and textures. :) For instance, it looks like that metal bit you just posted has a slight bend at the bottom of it?

That kind of stuff adds a lot. Keep it up!

Also, keep an eye on scale and curvature. The bracket held down by the 3 screws seems like a different scale in the photo compared to your mesh so far. Picky, perhaps, but that's what this challenge is about. :D

By the way, try to keep your attached images down to around 640x480.
