I've been playing with the UVs and yesterday I finally found a good way to map the darn thing. I will still try one other method I had in mind. Maybe next weekend I'll have something more to show...

Phew. I'm afraid I have to withdraw from this challenge. I simply can't find enough time or energy for this and I don't want to have too much pressure on me under the few free days i have at xmas and new year time.
