Amoeba Vs. Joopson!
Here is the thread, we have one week to conceptualize and model a futuristic battle-machine!

Just to make shure, what kind of battle machine are we doing?
You mean ground-type battle machines aswell, right? (Things like anti-grav tanks, mechs, and other things like that) :confused: |
any kind of battle machine, its pretty open ended. Im actually doing a ground-based one aswell, so yes.

Well... it would be a good idea to post a concept to demonstrate that you have the knowledge to actually achieve what you initially set out to do, instead of having stuff happen by accident then rolling with it (I speak from exp >< lol)

I did something kind of unconventional, A 3D concept. Keep in mind that this is crap, but its enough to work off of for when i start modeling. Its gonna be a spider robot tank. its like 10 feet tall, and it shoots rockets from that top part, and bullets from its face... Trust me, you will be able to tell by the end ;)

Anyway, I drew a crude top an side view at school, but no good version. I will hopefully post it today, but Im pretty busy so I can't gurantee it. PS: An other problem is that I do not have a scanner, and my paents are currently using the digital camera for work-related stuff. :shakehead |

Otherwise he could post any image, and say he made it! Anyway, I hope this challenge isn't over! I was looking forward to seeing the Battle arena roar back to life. |

OK, the reason I wasn't on since last week was that we where changing servers (my family has it's on domain), so I ended up with no internet. I really apologise for this, especially to Joopson. And no, I didn't run away crying when I saw your concept! :p In case this is still going (probably not though..deadline was a few days ago) here is what I did... (These are very early pics I did on the first day (Last saturday I believe). I didn't do much after that though, since I was told I will have no internet for the next few days... :( If anyone is still interested, I can get the more recent version, and the concept up. BTW, it's an anti gravity fighter.... |

anyway, I get a more recent screenshot up later (when I installed maya: I moved computers aswell, now at least I got a gig of RAM and 733MHz processor...before it was 300 MHz processor and 300 and something megabyte RAM (4 rigs).) BTW, to clarify, this is not a good pic at all, just meant to give an idea of what I was building. |

i thought my laptop was bad with just 1.5 GB RAM.... how do you work with such old specs...? otherwise what you were building looked like it might have been pretty fun to ride in!! :attn: |
Yeah, I'd be too busy right now to continue it in any way. I am working on 3 different things right now, and I'm swamped. But what you made isn't bad at all, and I wish we could have finished this!

^In my opinion, the first pic is complete crap, it looks better with guns, tubes and other "detail" now. :)
Anyway, are you planing to finish yours? (The scorpion-battle machine) Would really like to see it if you do! :) Quote:
