One good thing about squeezing a project like this into a busy schedule is that when you work on it, you find yourself working much faster on it than normal in order to finish on time. So you end up learning how to work quickly and more efficiently. The trick is doing it without loosing quality.
Really nice job so far arran! |

sorry for the lack of updates.
have been working on the environment. i haven't started scruffing up the tv yet so it's still looking fairly new. |
Looks great
Just a few critics: *The dirt in the cracks looks flat *The TV looks pretty small compered to the sidewalk Keep it up, Benny |
Also, it looks like the streets and the sidewalk are on the same height.
Could be the angle though. Looking nice and coming along! Keep it up! |

simply amazing textures... digitial camera to the rescue?
as far as the tv looking too small compared to the sidewalk... maybe looks too small compared with the curb but compared to the sidewalk panels it looks ok. |
hey thanks a lot everyone for the good comments and crit.
benny k - yeah, i think you're right about the dirt looking flat. thanks. as for the size of the tv i go back and forth on it. my wife thinks it looks fine, but i'm not sure. i wonder if it's maybe because sidewalks tiles in brooklyn look big to me, compared to back home. shadowspy - thanks mate. hmmm - the road is definitely a different level to the sidewalk - check the previous shot. the road does have a slight curve to it's profile tho. neostrider - thanks. yep, digital camera. ;) |

Hey Arran,
Looks good mate!, about the size of the TV, pavement etc, theres someting out, but I cant put my finger on it, could be the pavements too big, or the TV's too small, or both??!! Just somethings not clicking, sure you'll nail it though. The textures so far are looking great, looking forward to seeing them bashed up a bit, what might be cool is the rot that you see in the middle of double glazing due to damp on the screen. When I look at the pic I get drawn, not to the TV, but the background, might be me though! |

hey - thanks a lot gster :) yeah - there's something not working. i think neostrider might be right about the curb - i'm going to have a look at it.
i know what you mean about being drawn to the background. - need to really start working on the tv textures - i've been putting it off. here's a quick update - started taking it apart (no change to the curb just yet). |
