Model for CgTalk Challenge "races of middle earth"
 

Well here's a concept drawing for a race I designed that would live in Middle Earth... I just wish CgTalk started this challenge a week ago. I would have used the same creature Im doing for here =).


Anyway let me know what you all think. I called the race "Tumahs"

Im still playing with the design, not sure if im happy with it yet...

just a portfolio-builder for me. The toon challenge they did paid off great for me. :)

I figured maybe it was a CGTalk challenge thread or something. lol

The top 3 get a free book, while 1st place gets something in addition.... like a free texture pack or something. Not really sure. :p

z1mmnd14, I started drawing when I was about 8, and took it all through school. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts also...

Here's my next one... this one has a more reptilian/fantasy look. I'm not too happy with the head snakes and how they're wrapped right now.

Do you guys like more human or more reptile?

You should rent Clash of the Titans and take a look at their Medusa and how they did the writhing snakes on her head. (Whoohooo...can we say, "animated hair?" ;)

K, here's a new one. :D This one is going back to the "beauty" side of things. I had one comment at the challenge site about giving her 2 faces, one ugly, one beauty... I think I might have a pretty cool idea for that! :D I'll have to sketch it out. As for now, here we go:

This was the last composite I did in maya 4 almost 7 months ago....*sad*

I was furiously working on building star trek ships and was getting really good at it.....but I have not done one in sooooo long....I can't wait to start getting my feet wet again....
