I think i,ll try and have a bash of trying to do lego Indiana Jones. The modeling is easy but then the rest is up to texturing ( which i'm rubbish at) but still I'll give it a go.

Chirone 14-09-2009 07:49 AM

that's pretty good

i assume you have the real toy to look at as well right?

show us the wireframe and make his hands bigger and it will be awesome :D

tweetytunes 14-09-2009 08:37 AM

Very nice very quick.

Yer hands need resizing as well as the rim of the hat

but looking cool

monkey99 14-09-2009 05:41 PM

Chirone: Actually I dont have the real thing and heres the wireframe.

i've now started the texturing. I had to leave the project for a whil because im in secondary school and i now get ALOT of home work :headbang:
Edit:100th post lol

tweetytunes 17-09-2009 07:56 PM

still needs work on the rim of the hat - the thickness of the hands and also the chest piece is also to long.

s2-speedy 28-09-2009 09:47 AM

Looks good :)

as Chirone and tweetytunes stated before, the hands need re-sizing and a big longer in depth. other than that looks cool.

Keep it up.

tweetytunes 28-09-2009 10:28 AM

Love the textures

monkey99 28-09-2009 03:13 PM

Chirone and tweetytunes - I know the hands are not the right size cos i cant figure out what looks right? Can anyone give me any ideas to fix them please. ;)

see attached image. I have compared your hand to the image you attached and the points you need to pull out to make the hand wider. Hope that helps.
:D

I've come up with my final entry unless there are big problems you guys can see in it.I have also added some lighting onto inde and fiddles around with the hue with him to give a warm feel :p

Hey Monkey
Great job each time i see your work it keeps getting better and better so keep up the work. Only crit i actually have is the hands seem really thin i remember lego having much wider hands like speedy said. Also start to look at rendering options as its quite pixelated. I usually render much much larger than i will ever need then scale it down.

Again great job.

Hi Monkey,

For me that is a very fun thread to see, since I just did an image with the very same figure at work. I am not allowed to show due to copyrights atm tho..

But great to see that you make such a great progress in your modeling - keep up the good work..
