Hmmm I have a small problem I could use some help with!!!
I have done some really nice detailing in Zbrush for my clothes but of course when you export it back into maya the poly count is huge. Now I know that some ppl use zbrush as a guide to change the topology of the model so they can add the detail. But im not good enough to do that...... so i was thinking can i use all the detail i made for the clothes and my character export it as a normal map finish modelling everything out in its raw state, then apply the normal map for the extra detailing??? If i do this can i still do the texturing by hand in photoshop??? In short can I use all the datailing i have done as a normal map and then texture the model and clothes in Photoshop without the textures and normal map conflicting or stuffing each other up??? |

Close up on the lower half: I decided to keep the pant wrinkles more subtle I will puff them up a bit more but mainly I will use an alpha map for the detail.
