I'm back and everythings gone Lego!

This is good for newbies, loads of lego instructions on line, and not quite as easy as you would think....

This is my next build....

So this is the millenium falcon lego style, although its just blocks of different descriptions, this model could easily end up being way too heavy, so for the moment i'm keeping all the surfaces bare until the end.

Bit of an update on the lego falcon, its begining to take shape now, i was just about to loose the will to live.

looks very cool. i love a bit of lego. Are you following a construction manual for it, or just making it up?

Man I loved Lego as a kid, went to crap for ages and remember being in a gamleys store with a friend and going on about how they should make star wars lego. 6 months later and there it was on the shelves, ideas that good have to be realized.
The models look great so far and can't wait to see the finished Falcon. Death star next maybe.

Quick update, you may think this is all just duplicate move, but the way some of the lego toys were designed is extreme clever engineering!

You could sharpen the edges on the helmet a bit more it's lego , blocky forms ;)

Maybe it's just my bad memory, but the proportions don't quite look right on the lego man... can't put my finger on it though.

Yeah, now that I look at that ref image tweety posted, the arms are a bit long too, and maybe the legs a bit short?

Anyway, looking forward to seeing more progress!

how are you going to do the bumps?

bumps i thought i might model and then instance them... keep em on a seperate layer that i will leave hidden until render time, im also goint to re save it with a lot of the innards ripped out to save on memory, a millenium falcon Lite.
