XSI is just an upgrade to SoftImage, right. It's made by the same company. Why didnt they just go with SoftImage 1, 2, 3.....etc?

the skin weighting colouds are amazing! in both XSI and MAX, its a shame maya doesnt have it :( theres also enveloping, which a lot of people dnt like, but shud still be there for those like me :)

oooooh sumthing else thats amazing about XSI, the RTA and the whole crowd simulation, its like massive but only cheaper :D

but apart from that, Maya kicks more ass than XSI does :)

oh btw, XSI isnt an upgrade, is the next generation of software :) like 3d studio went to 3d studio max kinda thing :)

no matter what software they use, it will depend upon the artist who uses the software, let it be maya let it be wings 3d,,, there are experts in every software, some artists will be able to create something better in one software than the other,,,, that does not mean that one software is better than the other... its the person's skills
