M 03-03-2003 04:01 PM

Wow, awesome so far brian! Very very good, cant wait to see it progress... just it does have to have that (robotic) feel to it. LIke, it cant just be a human and then you call it a cyborg.. it does need some mechanical devices. Just letting you know, cya.

brian_ellebracht 03-03-2003 04:13 PM

You know me, how ofter do I actually do organic stuff?? Remember my Flamthrower guy? ;) Trust me, it will definetly be more like robotic, I will post more updates whe I get a chance. Thanks,
Brian

cool stuff, Brian. :)

brian_ellebracht 04-03-2003 05:24 AM

To give you an idea of the amount of detail I plan on investing on this the head is going to be cosiderably small compared to the rest of the body. Can't wait to post more of the body,
Brian

BillyZ 04-03-2003 05:27 AM

OMG kicking ass brian :D

M 04-03-2003 06:12 AM

Man, brian the machine should be your name. This is amazing.. you make models so fast, and at such good quality. Really something to look up to and set as a goal in life... a neverending one. Great job.

wicket 04-03-2003 07:07 AM

This must be what would happen if the Borg got a hold of a Gamorian Guard! :D Dang son you kick @$$! I'm watching this one!

Kevin 04-03-2003 09:54 AM

looking fantastic as per usual ;)

el_newty 04-03-2003 11:40 AM

very cool model.
made in poly's no?

brian_ellebracht 04-03-2003 12:30 PM

Wow tons of replies. You guys are crazy, you really think I model that fast?? I know you guys can't see the little image that I have in my head of how I want this to look like, so today I am going to start working on the body to give you a better idea on what I plan on doing with this guy. Well, I work on it in Very very low poly, and then I am converting it to Subdivisions for the render/final model. Subd's are so nice! Like working with nurbs, but with the ease of Poly's. Just started using them last week. I will update it when I get a chance. Thanks,
Brian

mumbojumbo_13 04-03-2003 12:37 PM

oooh come on ... i need more :D

Witchy 04-03-2003 02:32 PM

That's excellent! The only thing I would raise is the mask at the front looks a bit like a filter / air unit, but doesn't cover his nostrils and so would be a little ineffective in that capacity. Of course it might be armour or something, but it just looks a bit odd stuck on the front of his face as it is. Lovely work though, can you give a brief outline of your technique?

GCastro 04-03-2003 03:44 PM

you are insane! :)

Brian, are you working in 3d yet? Cause you should be man!

Especially if you can churn out great work like this so fast.

Great job, keep it up :)

George

Here is an update.. Hmmm, I am not really likeing the whole "fat" look.. Wondering if I should start over with the same head, and go more for a skinny look... Hmm... Not sure what do you guys think??? Thanks,
Brian

Kevin 04-03-2003 08:11 PM

yes i was thinking that myself to be honest brian

I not sure about that thing around your head. Head looks awesome the rest just dont fit, nice modeling but just dont fit the scene! but hey .... you might have more of an idea of the outcome!

mtmckinley 04-03-2003 08:13 PM

I like it. :) Has a mech/transformers look to it.

Emo 04-03-2003 08:13 PM

This is barely possible in my world... :)

great job!! I can't wait to see the rest
