Ok, im going to try to model the T3 logo to the EXACT design. Then I will texture it exactly as well, and try to get it on terminator3.com :D. Dont know if they will accept it though :P.

Well, be sure to show us your progress.

I'm interested to see how this turns out.

I-Iybrid 09-03-2003 03:21 AM

Ok, well I actually already started and its almost done :D. Just, I will have to figure out how to texture it properly... here is a render of what i have so far.

I-Iybrid 09-03-2003 03:34 AM

Wait, my bad. I thought the 1st pic was the one you made. Now that I see the one you did, still looks good; :)

M 09-03-2003 05:21 PM

goddamn poor guy. could have saved tons of more time if you had known about bevel.

doodle 09-03-2003 06:18 PM

Bevel. If you had selected the edges of the polygon and used bevel the effect you have on the edges would be automatic. :)

M 10-03-2003 03:04 AM

:O.. well, i looked at that video, and that is NOT what i wanted to do :D.. so i am glad i did it this way.. it was a lot more flexible, but took me a bit longer. Thanks for the website and the tutorial though, it was really cool and i will use it when it comes in handy :D.

Alright, here is what i have so far, and probably all i will get, just because I like this "rocky" type look.

bettery_wn 10-03-2003 04:52 AM

It looks cool so far. I expect ur final version.
BTW, the shape of "3" is very cool. Where did u get it?

Hidalgo 10-03-2003 04:53 AM

Looks good.

IS that pattern that looks like a tire tread on your text a texture?

M 10-03-2003 05:12 AM

I just touched up the image in photoshop.. and took a "tiretread" type image and lowered the opacity to 8.. then i just put it on.... i just added it for a minute effect.. yet now that i look at it.. i was a bit crooked :(.... oh well. Oh and btw.... you wouldnt beleive it.. i submitted this to the T3 gallery and it was accepted! You can now check out a render similar to the one you saw here, on the t3 website :D.. woohooo! Cant wait to see how it gets voted. Cya later :), bye.

Hidalgo 10-03-2003 05:14 AM

Congrats on the acceptance.

Do you have a link?

M 10-03-2003 05:21 AM

Yes, you can check it out at http://www.terminator3.com. Then click on community or something like that, and then my art should either be "newest" or it will be in the gallery of images. Didnt think it would be accepted though.. very cool :D. Thnx for the congrats btw :).

Right On M!

Makes a nice little payoff when working with Maya.

Congrats!

M 10-03-2003 05:58 AM

:D, yea... thanks a lot. If you need any publicity i really suggest you make something to do with t3 and post it on their site! If its good, (and lots of ya are better than me) it will be put in the gallery with tons and tons of views! Alright, cya guys.

Kevin 10-03-2003 12:46 PM

looking good there mr M!

Ill check back later

I-Iybrid 10-03-2003 02:24 PM

Congrats M! Maya finally payed off huh? :p

M 10-03-2003 03:59 PM

Hah, well i dont know if i would call that a payoff, and to say it finally payed off is a bit "inpatient"... working with maya anyways is a ton of fun, so theres nothing really to pay off :D. One thing though, if i was to say that, i think it would be 3 years down the road.. lol.
