Final Renders - Regular Maya renderer:

final:... a bit blotchy but could have spend more time modelling than test rendering.. did with Final Gather finally... and could have removed the blotchiness by increasing the no of rays.. but did not have time


1 hour and 27 mins... phew!!! long time for such a small project!!!

Note: modeled with polys. I used alot of Booleans on this project.

ok.. the last one with the "Final render" is the final image.. here is one ... but is a bit too bright... and with the wireframe....
i could say that both are final images.. but with different angles...

good job both of you. I liked them both. Hybrid, was your last image/render, is the case front the gray color, or transparent glass?

The case front was a transparent glass/platic type material. I made a phong (i think) and just added some transparency to it, because we werent texturing it. Its just for viewing purposes, so you can see whats what. :)

hehe... lol.. i thought of that too.. then i thought you decided due to the "low traffic" to the battle arena...

i wouldnt have minded voting.. but i would be bias as i know hybrid in real life...

I believe battle polls might be a lot more succesfull than MOTM, since people like having a say in other people´s work, it´s not as subjective as "who is the best member?", it´s more like "you like this one or that one?" ... can´t be any more simple than that.

I sugest giving the battles poll idea a try. It´s far greater than the MOTM thing (which I prefer mods to make a decision of), and far simpler, thus -in theory- more succesfull.
