Right its time to start planning the uk`s christmas simply site party day out, so I am leaving it up to you guys to come up with some places and ideas...

So get em down and we will have a vote, probably be around the 13th December (sat)

It would be great to see a few of you guys so please try to make it.

Hmm... now that Ryan Air flies directly from my city to uk (standsted)... My dad lives in London, I could stay at his place... hmm hmm... only problem would be to get some time off from work, some extra money, and figure out how could I move between places there...

What sort of area are we talking about, down South , Midlands or up North?

would be nice to see you kman - and ckyuk: this is undecided at this time, but I am willing to travel anywhere in the UK and so is dave so we will go where the most people are.

Well I live in Manchester and am a regular "Beer Monster" (Among other spectacular party tricks) so if anyones up for it close then yeah, but fraid I cannot travel much due to work etc..

Would love a beer, but am a little restricted traveling wise as I'm out of work at the mo, bummer! But if you guys get anywhere near Sheffield I'd love to meet up, sounds great!

I say peterborough, because kev and dave are right near, plus there are some wicked cheap pubs over here, like £1.30 a pint man, mentallist.

right guys - I dont think this will work unless a few of you guys are willing to travel a bit.

Myself and dave are willing so it would be nice if people showed a little willing and would move more then 4 yards from there doorstep.

We all work and would all like to just walk to the local kebab house after and pop of to bed but this sadly wont be an option.

And if you are under the thumb a little from the mrs then bring her along.... Kev loves the ladies ;)

OK then - Pick a Venue and a date, and will see if I can make it.
Just may be difficult because I work shifts (Work weekends some weeks :( )
Maybe Midlands area would be a good idea so that none of us have to travel that far? just a suggestion though.....

Oh and Chris_H, no worries, if i'm going, then I can take you in my beemer - Sheffield is only 1/2Hr away from me. (In fact prob 20 mins since I got this beemer ;) )

ok thats great, had a couple of guys from the slw site also interested so if we say the 13th December is the date then we can all book it off early and its a saturday so you can rest up the day after :)

Oh well - guess that's that then, I just checked the my shift spreadsheet and I will be working on the 13,14,15,16th December
so maybe next year eh...

I managed to drum up a days holiday! :D
But guess that's no use if London is the venue, I really can't see me driving back to Manchester the same night and being up for work on Sunday at 6.00 AM - So - just take some piccy's and I will try next year. :(

Not a bad Idea if we were all a bit closer. We are all spread out across the country so it would take more that a month to put together. The UK ,I heard, you can drive anywere in a day. Not in the US. It can take a few days to drive one way.

Hmm - ZykOtiK - Problem is, I managed to get only one days Holiday - the 13th (Tried for two but they weren't having any of it)
- That means I start work at 07:00am on the 14th (Darn shift work sux) so it's not really possible...
I would love to come see you guy's though - so maybe if we organise another 'outing' sometime I will definitely be coming.

Hmm. I'd be willing to drive somewhere in the US to meet up with some of you Maya guys. I don't know if there are enough people interested to do this though... It would have to be after the 13th of December for me to do anything though because I have an ACT test on that very day. :( I'm used to driving though. I went from Toronto, Canada to Georgetown, Kentucky in a day one time. It's not really that bad if you drive non-stop like a machine. *points to print above his avatar* heheh

Great, I finally found out about the Xmas bash!

I don't mind travelling too far, I will have to be driving anyway that day since it is me big brothers birthday bash that night so would have to get back...

Are you all planning on an evening event or would it start in the day? If it started in the day I could make it for the afternoon but I would have to head back home for the evening birthday do.

Well, big brothers B-Day bash has been changed to Friday the 12th so I could come along for the visit on the Saturday :)

Has there been any progress on the venue or has it all been blown out? Or am I not invited since I upset Kevin's rat... I don't really dislike rats... they're quite nice... My sister had a pet rat called Stinky ou know...

ok gazz, I will go through and do a check on all the places we have available. Then the most votes or newest and most sensible place will get the vote, hell I might even do a poll to see what reaction we shall get.

If we get at least 10 people throughout the 3 sites then it would be a good night out I think.
