Thanks for the comments. I used a reference image from the internet to get the measurements, so I might have used a bad image. Then I just used the measurements and applied them to a sketch I drew....

I am working on a guitar, for practice and portfolio Experience. A couple hours in so far. Took me a while to get the top and the sides to go together because of the design I created.

The grass is paint Effects so it is post process and cancels out the shadows on the ground.

I saw that when after I posted it. I didn't use mental Ray, so to simulate the bouncing light I put a green area light under the bottom.

You can use the 3d Paint Tool. Don't give up though on working out the UV mapping, it can be very useful.

here is an update with some shader manipulation, and a couple of more tweaks to the frame. I decided to render this one in the Software Renderer.
